AC compressor Removal help
I'm trying to replace the compressor on my 2000 se with the delete pulley but I can't seem to get the compressor off. I removed the 3 bolts holding it on and the electrical connections but it's not budging, am I missing something?

Re: AC compressor Removal help
There's a bolt on the back of the compressor. I think you have to remove the lines to get to it. Also, I suggest you disconnect the battery as there's a live 12 volt feed to the starter close by.

Re: AC compressor Removal help
In addition to the other bolts mentioned, you should have the refrigerant evacuated from the system.
If you don't, you can get hurt when you try to remove the manifold hose assembly from the compressor.
It's also illegal to discharge refrigerants into the air.
If only the pulley bearing seized and not the internal parts of the compressor, you can replace that without having to open up the AC system.

Is there a write up on how to swap the pulley bearing?MKMike wrote:In addition to the other bolts mentioned, you should have the refrigerant evacuated from the system.

I don't believe there is a writeup on it here but there are some Youtube videos, such as this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsacpKR_sA8 The compressor is a Delphi V5 .
There are other videos online but this should give you an idea of what is involved.
