Newbie to the club (NY)

Post by 89P »

Hi everyone, just joined today and to be honest, its the first forum and club i have ever joined. I own a 1989 Pontiac Bonneville SE with 90k original miles and I was excited to find out that their was a Pontiac Bonneville club and looking forward to learn what i may be able to do to help restore, upgrade, enhance its performance and share car talk and tips with the club. At the moment, im the process of upgrading the intake manifold. Dont know if i should go with performance parts like Edelbrock or enhancing the vehicle with Bonneville SSE parts. Glad to join the group.

I am brand new to this forum, but I have belonged to a lot of other ones. They are such a great way to share ideas, get free information, and buy or sell parts and other car related stuff. Be careful, forums are addictive!

So does your SE have the factory body kit, or is that just the SSE? I'm still very new to the particulars of the Bonneville!

Yea im looking forward to learn more myself, also being fairly new to Bonneville particulars. Hopefully wont become addicted haha! My 89 has the factory body kit, wont dive into the cosmetic end until i work the engine intake components a bit. The pcv valve \ EGR (which i cant seem to find) , throttle body, intake manifold at the moment. But i am in need of the pontiac emblem on the nose grille, must have fell off b4 i bought it.

Parts for your 89 might be tough, depending on what you're looking for. Junkyards and Rockauto, again depending on what you need, will be your best resources.
