LIM antifreeze leak

Post by Sleeper66 »

I have a 2000 Bonneville SSEI and replace upper and lower gaskets, it did get some antifreeze in the oil and changed it out with Mobil 1 oil, the question is how many more times do I need to change out the oil to make sure I will have no issues .. I have drove like 300 miles on the oil and ready to change it again this weekend ... Thanks for your help in Advance

I would call it good with your current plans.

Define "some antifreeze". If it was only a few ounces, the oil change you have in mind will be fine. If it was anything more, and your oil looked like a milkshake, I would have done about 3 oil changes in the first 20 miles. All depends how bad it was.

very little ... it all went out through intake bolts over a weeks period .. no smoke coming out the exhaust either .. oil looked clean .. put a gallon a week in radiator .. oil looked clean even though I had it changed 6 wks before rebuild .. no issues now.. holding antifreeze level for about a week now

Not a bad idea to check the torque on the all the bolts you can get to. - BC

If a truly small amount went in the oil, change it this weekend and I think you can call it good, especially since your coolant level is now remaining constant.
