Lost key FOB....
1998 pontiac bonneville se1G2HX52K9W4226943. How do I get information to buy a new one off the internet? I tried to enter my vin to give me a detailed report but they all charge money. Anyone know how to decode a vin?

Re: Lost key FOB....
A vin number won't help much, you need to find the keyless receiver on the car and get the number from it.

If you are referring to the keyless entry block, I bought KOBUT1BT and it worked

The info you've been given is correct. You need a fob that is code KOBUT1BT
You can buy an original equipment GM fob at Rockauto.com or an aftermarket one from places such as the one already linked by sgmburke, or Amazon.
Might be wise to buy a couple.
