2000 Pontiac Bonneville - SE - 3.8 V6 w/ABS

Post by jtcahill »

A few weeks ago, I got a lite ABS light and Brake Light. I connected my Actron AutoScanner Plus scanner and got a C1232 Code - Left Front Wheel Speed sensor circuit open or shorted. The car has 182K miles and over the years I've replaced the bearing assembly's before which usually solves the open circuit/short.

I ordered new bearing assembly and before I did anything I checked to see if I had any other codes. To my surprise I now have (in addition to the C1232 code):
C1233 Right Front Wheel Speed sensor circuit open or shorted.
C1235 Right Speed sensor circuit open or shorted.
C1245 Low tire pressure detected
C1248 Dynamic Rear Proportion (DRP) Disabled

I think it highly unlikely the speed sensor (wheel hub) would go on three of the four wheels.

Has anyone have a similar experience? Any solutions or suggestions?

I had the same problem with my Pontiac and change the ABS antilock brake pump, it is attached to the chassis on the part of the driver below the computer and problem solved but you can check the connections in this part because sometimes it is bad connection
