The first car I ever loved...

Post by alexcoqui »

This was back in 1991. I wanted a red Camaro RS that my uncle had on his dealer, but no one wanted to give me insurance for the Camaro. (I was 16.) I neede a car to go to college, so my dad gave me my mom's 89 LE & bought her a new Grand Marquis. At first I was so pissed, going from a red T-toped camaro to an old lady's blue & grey 4 door. [-(
But now thinking back, Im glad that my first car was a Pontiac & not a Chevy. & Im not dissing Chevy, but there is something there in Pontiac that Chevrolet lacks. Anyways, this was my first car & I loved it like no other, a lot of first times came in that car.

& dont lagh to hard, but this was me at 16 or 17. Thinking I was the s**t with my Bonneville.

I had done some stuff to the car, that for those times, I bet not a lot of people were doing to Bonnis. I added the headlight shades & a pointiac front plate, I also changed the front grill to a SSE one. on the sides I added graphics & chrome fender trims, Plus I tinted the windows & all of the lights inside where red. Oh & I changed the tires to 245 all around & added spacers to the back of the rims.

Lol nice timing I was just looking for a picture of an 89 as there is a piece of *shoot* one out the window at my work.
Trying to show my co-worker what they could look like.

Wow. Car was a looker back then. Nice color combo that blue and silver, and then the wheel flares give it that extra something, very nice indeed.

Funny to see that the back bumper cover was already curling and the car was only 3 years old. Was the defroster vent popping out already too? 8-[

Nice car. What was its fate?
