I was just wondering what a shop charges from the book, and the hours listed to replace the main engine wiring harness on an 03 Bonneville SE.

Re: Shop charge to replace the main engine harness
No fire, and no vermin under the hood. The main harness had a short in it that caused #1 cylinder misfire. I replaced it on Friday in about 4 hours while sipping on a beer and talking to the neighbors. I was just wondering how much a shop would have charged.

Re: Shop charge to replace the main engine harness
I cant imagine that job taking much more than an hour in shop conditions with no beer or interrupting neighbors. If you consider when I pull and engine I always just unplug everything and lay it off to the side. I can have a whole engine out in about 2.5 hours.
Re: Shop charge to replace the main engine harness
I would imagine it would call for 4-5 hours @ ~100 an hour. I did my OBDII swap (harness and ecu) in about 5 hours.
