Lots of people get the bores of wheels honed out to fit.

It's a common thing in the Holden side of things with us importing their cars and not a lot of wheel options domestically.

After re-reading my post, I realize that the centerhub isn't the problem, it's that the lug studs are spaced too far apart to fit through the holes on the rim. Does this limit my options to spacers?

I didn't think the g6 had the same bolt pattern as a Regal... Wheel adapters/spacers are your only option in that case. Personally not a fan of doing that but some people swear by them.

Make sure to do your research and get GOOD ones and triple check the lugnut torque!!

Yea, this won't work. I suppose if you REALLY wanted to, you could drill out new stud holes in the hubs accordingly (at the proper spacing), and make it work, but not a route I'd go.

Out of curiosity, why is it a bad idea? Does it distort the rims structural integrity?

The short answer is yes.

Buuuuut every wheel is different. I personally wouldn't chance it but that's just me, some guys think different. There are companies out there that drill rims and can offer advice on whether it would work for your particular wheels but for the cost of drilling them properly, you could pick up a set of Bonne GXPs that have the proper bolt pattern already and are wide enough to fit your car.

As CMNTMXR said, you could drill your car's hub for new studs and while I agree that's better than drilling your wheels or adding spacers, I don't think the cost and time is worth it. Again, cost and time would bring you back to the Bonne wheel price....

As for the wheels you found, GREAT JOB, that looks to be a helluva deal. But a deal isn't much of a deal when it won't work for your application.

...also, consider you're trying to fit a wheel from a compact on a mid-size car...

I would never drill the wheels themselves, unless you're creating completely NEW holes. Otherwise you are ovaling out the existing holes. That isn't good or safe.

This place made my spacers and they make adapters too. Kind of pricey but well worth it if you are dead set on those wheels.

I might consider machine work on a billet wheel but cutting into a casting I think is too big a risk for structural integrity. The next time you decide to go wheel shopping and need cross reference for another car check out www.bigwheels.net
I often use this site since it provides not only bolt patterns but offset range and tire diameters.

I've have 3 sets of wheels redrilled without issue. They were all close enough to use inserts with the furthest being 120x5 to 115x5. No fill and drills. The last set I had done was a few years ago at 25/wheel minus shipping.

Wheel Specialties in San Bernardino CA did at least the last set but It doesn't look like they're around anymore.

You seem to have gotten a great deal on the wrong rims so I would sell them and put the surplus towards your new rims
