I was afraid of that! A buddy had to fight pretty hard when his low mileage WS6 was totaled... What good is paying for insurance when they won't pay for your loss. I hope it works out for you!! Wishing you the best of luck!

Because like any other company, it's about profits. In insurance, it's get as much premium as possible and limit pay-outs. In retail, it's buying the widget for the lowest price and selling it for as much as the open market will allow.

Anyway, I too think it sucks, but while you are now contacting legal representation, you have to realize that they have entire teams of legal representation who have probably been through this rodeo once or twice before. Sad thing is, while we get emotionally attached to our cars, adding value for every piece we install or add to the vehicle, they see it as a depreciating asset that is only worth so much based on age, condition and mileage. They may be nice and tack on a few more $$$ to compensate for additional things, but you're not going to get anywhere near what you invested into it.

I'm not advocating or justifying their position, just sadly stating how they work things. But to them it's just another Grand Prix that they now have to pay out a claim on.
