New Air Intake = 100 More HP at least (hey it looks cool)

Chat about all things Bonneville (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the lounge, and all mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

This is probably an example of stupid things that guys spend money on that probably don't make much of a difference......but hey it looks cool...I think.

I bet it sounds cool too. That was the reason I did mine, but recently gave up on it.

Prolly a good thing too, because oddly enough, the car is running better with the stock unit back on.

I miss my intake sometimes, especially how it sounded at WOT. The throttle response was also a notable difference. However, I do NOT miss the awful vacuum noise on cold starts and when running the AC.

The IAC noise is horrible. But I like my FWI.

So far I really haven't noticed any change other than I spent money, it looks cool and now I have another thing to maintain. So to continue with my "do stupid things" theme, I bought fancy, $6.50 each spark plugs (AC Delcos best copper) to replace my perfectly good standard AC plugs. I wonder if I will notice the difference.

If you roll the windows down, then you'll hear it, and it will be the best thing you ever did.

Copper plugs do not last as long as Iridiums, so I would probably get some iridiums back in there unless you plan on changing the plugs again in 10k miles.
