Best cold box ideas

Post by Oldsman003 »

Looking to be rid of my Sri and devise some cold box for my Olds. Cheaper is better but I want it to look good and not cheap after market bull. I am handy enough to make it myself just need some ideas. Not much room to work with under the hid.

I'm thinking some sort of plastic half box and a possible clear plastic top something open in front to be able to breath from the headlight region

I wish I could figure out how to load pictures on here I fabbed up a hear shield/partial cold box for my Olds. Might be something somebody ambitious would want to do to spruce up the look of their engine bay

I don't have an Olds but I'd love to see. You should use Imgur to upload the photos, and then link them in here by surrounding them in [img] tags.

I will try to upload. I actually want to alter it some and the bonnie under the hood is exactly the same. I want to add a clear cover and add some more heat protection to make it more efficient. But right now I'm pretty satisfied but I feel it can be better

My favorite has always been the FWI route. Usually it's a matter of relocating the evap canister, and then routing the FWI through that hole.

I do like that idea a lot, but water worries me because unset moderate rain with my Sri it gets up in the engine bay and causing poor running conditions until burned away or cycles out.
