2000 SSEi, passenger side electrical issue, not the splice..

Post by FasGP »

Hey all...last year I had the joy of needing to go under the driver seat, and replace my very corroded terminal block. I eliminated the water issues, and did an excellent job of properly soldering the connector, and shrink tubing it, etc. This week, the passenger door stopped working again, window, locks and mirrors, however now it carries new symptoms. The interior light won't turn off, the headlights are not turning on, and I have checked the splice, and it is dry and fully intact.

I tried the slam door technique with no luck, so has anyone other ideas to help?? Is there any other areas that could cause this interruption?

TIA...

*dang*...no ideas?? Is there any possibility this wire running under the pass seat could be subject to similar corrosions??

Most of those things are controlled by the passenger door module. Not sure on how it would affect the headlights, however.

Have any way of reading codes? Would point us in either. aground or general door module issue.
