need help fast please engine runs like crap then stalls

2002 Pontiac bville SLE NA 3800 idk what codes are coming up I don't have a reader and wont until Monday so if you can help weed out problems that's awesome engine starts and runs very rough you can rev it and keep it running but it still runs like crap if you let it idle it dies it also has a very slight pinging almost like detonation. it started this out of no where. it died at a sonic about 12 miles from my house I got it running and drove it home I had to have it floored to keep it at 55 I got home and smoke was coming from hood so I popped hood and my rear manifold was glowing red so I immediately thought my *dang* cats clogged so I un hooked down pipe and started her up no change just louder so im lost changed fuel pump intake gaskets plugs wires air filter im leaning toward crank sensor but idk

Check your fuel pressure regulator to make sure it isn't leaking, and also check fuel pressure.

The codes will also go a long way towards diagnosis. Without cold hard facts, such as fuel pressure readings, and codes, we are flying just as blind as you are.

When was everything replaced?

I don't think it would be the crank sensor. Get those codes for us, I know it sucks that you can't get an immediate response, but we can't really guess otherwise. Codes go a long way.

I ways start with simple things. Unplug the Maf see if that helps. Otherwise work your way toward center of engine. I had similar issue with a 05 grand prix. Course I didn't go wot home so no glowing manifold. Check Maf then pcv system. Then it's out of my hands.

Sorry guys. Lost net and been busy with life. Thanks.for all the replys. Got codes. I cant remember numbers. But they said that the maf and tps had low voltage.to em. It now.starts and runs for 2 mins perfectly. After that it starts backfiring and then dies.all gaskets and new fuel pump was.changed less then 2 months ago

Just because you replaced the pump doesn't mean pressure is good
Did you check it with a gauge at the Schrader valve on the rail?
You've got a good spark on all 3 coils and to all 6 plug wire ends?

Fuel pressure is good. Checked.at valve. Spark wouldnt explain the glowing of cat. Or the starting up fine.for 2 mins then backfiring and.dying

No corrosion under the ICM?

And spark would explain the glowing of the cat, it not lighting fuel, dumping said fuel into the converter, overheating it.

Took vaccum hose off fpr and there was a drop of fuel nothing really. And icm seems fine

I wouldn't say that it is insignificant.
Remember, it is a vacuum hose that connects to a moveable diaphragm---it should be bone dry.
