Transmission problems

Post by dleroy »

Okay so since I got my bonneville in September I have read and noticed the front engine mount problem and assumed this was my issue but over the past month or so I have became more wary of my situation. So this isn't an all the time thing but sometimes after about 20 minutes or so of driving my tranny will start to make a "whine" almost and when I let off the throttle even if I just tap it the sound grows and the car almost feels like it shifted hard but it didn't shift. I'm just curious if anyone else has had this problem.

Are there any good write-ups for installing the shift kit?

I can say the longer the shift kit (TransGo 4T65E) has been in my transmission, the better the transmission has operated. It didn't have any problems when I bought the car August 2013. I had my son install the kit as a precaution and 'cause I wasn't keen on the way the transmission shifted. I had the fluid replaced too (at the dealership), but any good shop should be able to do that. - BC
