Carl I see you an 03 SLE/ Did you ever have a 90's Bonneville/H Body? My 94 was way better in the snow. Betty has a lot of features but what meant the most was the ground clearance Bonny had. A bit better in snow than Betty. I got high centered frequently driving in snow with my 01

Yesterday (day late) I replaced the #3 wire and plug (doing the rest when I can get the car INSIDE) and today my wife surprised me by fixing a sagging portion of the headliner for me :-)

Just gotta move on to the cracked fog light and engine mount now.

I took a trip out to Ryan's with Matt and Ben, and Ryan unlocked my nav unit with the tech 2 and programmed an extra key fob.

Replace the last rusty brake line on my daughter's 97 SE ... already replaced the other 3 last year.... it was the right front....the one that goes over the exhaust. i had a splice connector put in so i could install it a lot easier. she's taking it on a trip to Atlanta and i wanted to make sure it was up to the task. also rotated and cleaned the tires and wheels, changed the oil... and washed the outside... she's gotta take care of the inside. i'm going out in a few min to clean the wheels on mine...

I dropped my oil pan and replaced the gasket. The pan was clean, no debris or sludge. It took me too long because I couldn't get the 1 most difficult bolt out. I was using my Pittcrap 10 mm socket and no go for an hour. tried my other 10 and the bolt came out first try.
Hoping to see the end of my oil leak.

Filled up with another tank of 93 this morning and changed my oil tonight. Also collected a sample to send off to Blackstone Labs. While driving to
Warm up the oil I drove around for 20 mins and managed to hit 12 psi of boost which I was pretty proud of! It was -4 out and I had IATs around 3 above.

Is replacing this gasket as simple as the trans pan gasket? Mine has recently developed a leak on the rear passenger corner above the filter.

Its actually a little more involved than the trans pan. You have to lift the engine with a jack so you can remove a bracket to get at pan bolts. Its also a lot less messy.
Yeah and 12 psi boost? That's more than Ive seen. Sounds like you have been doing this for a long time.

When I pulled up the drive saw a large hole in the new Buicks decklid light... Looks like my wife must have bumped into her with Black Betty, as shes been driving her this week and the broken lense matches up with the Jeeps bumper

Yesterday my tire pressure warning went off, and my right rear tire had a nail and a screw in it. So today I took it to the tire shop and got it fixed. Then since it was sunny and five degrees out I went to the coin car wash and sprayed all the winter crap off the car. Then I put it in my neighbors heated garage to thaw it out. Once all the ice melted off I changed the oil and topped off the fluids, and then after all of that I re connected the stock door tweeters and it improved the sound with the nav radio a lot. I think there is still a little bit more room for improvement for the sound quality but I'm happy with it now. Once I put it back together I cleaned up the interior as it was pretty bad. (To my standards anyway.)

I'm getting really good at frigid adventures. It was -2 today and I trekked out to a junkyard and finally got a seat for the 96. Then I came home and swapped it in.

I also went to the junkyard today. Saw a few old men working on pulling parts. No gloves. Carhart, jeans, boots and a hat. No snow pants no face mask, no gloves. Must have no feeling in their hands anymore. Crazy! I got a few miscellaneous pieces for the Saab and a driver headlight for my bonne retrofit for sale. Then I came home and put the driver window back on the track as it froze shut and the motor went up and down but window glass didn't lol

I don't know if it's getting good or crazy, I didn't even see anyone else at the yard I was at. The people at the counter were looking at me funny. I did have a few layers. 2 pairs of socks, boots, these pants for the cold with like fleece lining, a tshirt, sweatshirt, windbreaker, hoodie, a big jacket and some heavy gloves.
