Searched all over the forum for transmission issues, couldnt find one that would fit this. Anyways. I posted a month ago and you all helped me to figure out my ICM was bad. Got new ICM.
Now since new ICM. I've noticed loss of power and stutter in low rpms (2000 and below). Also car would rev up to 1500-2500(with stutter), depending if warmed up or no, before it gets up. I sense transmission is slipping?? Once in motion car shifts smoothly.
When put in P,R or N and rev it won't shake like it would in D. So sometimes it would idle rough at stop light but as soon as i put in N, it becomes smooth.
Am I looking at new tranny or what??

Re: Transmission going bad?
Have you replaced the plugs and wires on the car as well? It doesn't sound like a trans issue to me, but I could be wrong.

Re: Transmission going bad?
Yes. Wires, plugs and coil packs were changed last year in June.
Interesting thing happened. Last night I decided to shift manually to see if it really is the transmission. I put it in 1 and took off. Smooth as butter. I then put it in 2 and took off, smooth again.
So it only happens (loss of power/jerk) when put in D.
Any help??

Re: Transmission going bad?
Needs clutchs most likely if you keep manually shifting it it will take out the first band from what I've seen on u tube. If your going to rebuild yourself you can start by pulling the pan to confirm it is the clutchs, there will be pieces of them in the pan.
