I have the bent fives on mine and have corrosion on the beads. Can I clean them enough to seal again?

^ I had my tires removed and the bead cleaned by a tire shop that wire brushed the bead and put the tire back on and balanced it for $15 for two rims. Discount Tire is you have any located near you

Any time you bust down a tire you should do that. That's not something extra they did. You have to remove all the crud from that bead area to ensure that it seats properly and holds air along that point. otherwise you will have a small leak constantly.
What the issue is, that corrosion from moisture (inherent in oxygen), wraps around the lip and onto the face of the wheel and gets under that chrome plating, causing it to chip off.
Discount Tire IS NOT one of my favored places. They're about volume and are all in such as rush to keep the line moving, they don't take care with what they're doing and usually scuff up your rim, someway somehow EVEN when you tell them to be careful and it's put on the work order!

I guess it depends on location. The one I go to is very friendly. Does a lot of services for free, when I had a hole in my rim they even put my tire on a donor Pontiac rim free of charge until I got a new one
