Post by myfirstbonnie »

We are getting Derek used to long car rides so it will be easier on him when we go home to Ohio in October. we drove out to Pendelton, Oregon and back this past weekend. Here are the pictures of the car. You can see all the other pictures on my FB page. If not on friends list, just send an invite.

No wonder the "boss lady" is so happy. I would be too with a ride like that! - BC

I do not regret getting this car (statement not really needed knowing we traded a 4 cylinder Accord for it).

It is fun and quick if you know how to do it. I have watched many Youtube videos of people launching it and saying how it sucks. To me, you just have to learn how to drive and know what to do. My trick is to turn off TC and stability and use the manual mode from 1-3rd. The key is to not break loose and at the same time not over rev it. With the turbo, you gotta keep the RPM's up around 5k to keep it happy.

On the highway, just drop it to 3rd and hit the gas. She loves to pull at higher speeds. I think on a 50 roll, it would give the Chicken a good run. The Chicken would eat it on a launch from the line though. Will not state how fast I have had it, but the fastest I have ever done in a car was in this Regal.

Also, it is fun to embarrass people when they can't keep up to a Buick. I know there are plenty out there that would eat this for lunch, but you just have to learn which ones those are.
