'86 from Montreal with Love
Hello gents, beautiful day to be alive. I'm a Canadian G5 owner that's driving my grandfather's old '86 Bonneville. The G5 is currently out of commission due to me taking my sweet time with a supercharger install. The Bonnie's been in the family since she rolled off the showroom floor and I generally like the old girl, but she has her flaws. She's got very low miles, bone stock and the body is super clean, but the power just isn't there. To my knowledge, she's either a base or an LE. Two tone paint, 14'' rally wheels and the 3800 V6. No power accessories or A/C. I would like to learn as much as I can about this car and maybe even give her a new set of lungs if possible. Any information about this generation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for welcoming me to this forum and I hope we can shed some light on my little mystery.

Oh yeah, she gets plenty of attention. My grandfather babied her. Hasn't seen snow since 1992. I only wish she had a little more power.

Welcome to the club! You can always swap in a motor for curing the power problem. ;D

The engine bay looks like it can hold a lot of motor. But can the stock transmission/drivetrain handle a 350?
