Difference between '92 and '95 SSEI
So I just bought a 95 SSEI and "conveniently" I have a modded 3800 S/C with 5K miles from a 92 SSEI. Any major differences between the engines and transmissions on the two vehicles? Any major issues you think I'll run into on the switch?

Re: Difference between '92 and '95 SSEI
The 92 came with 20 less HP, no roller fulcrum rockers, smaller tb and sc inlet, no epoxy coating on the sc rotors, PCM is mapped a bit differently, different fuel pressure, some different sensors, I think the egr is different.
Can't speak to the trans.
What mods does it have?

Trans on both should be a 4T60e hd I believe.

Re: Difference between '92 and '95 SSEI
When I rebuilt it I bored it .010 over, ported and port-matched the heads and put on a high lift cam. I also ran a high flow fuel pump to it. It seemed to have quite a bit more power than stock. Unfortunately it shredded the tranny.
So I thinking i'd like to just do a swap, rebuild the S/C from the 95 engine, attach the pulley from the 92 S/C and swap it onto the 92 engine. Sounds like I may need to swap out some sensors as well? Do you think the rockers from the 95 engine would fit on my 92 heads?
Gotta go for maximum bang for my buck!
BTW mine is white as well and I have some chrome 17s from a 99 Bonneville to put on when completed.

The rocker studs are different sizes, so they won't swap. You can get Yells Terra rollers from Intense though.

The transmissions are wired differently and the 95 has some hard part upgrades over the 92.

Re: Difference between '92 and '95 SSEI
Thanks for the info on the tranny. I know now mot to worry about doing the 92 tranny and just focus on the 95. Anyone have any ideas on converters? Does a higher stall seem to work pretty well?
I was looking for the details on the cam, but can't find them. I've moved twice since then. The info may have wandered away. I bought it from a place that sold series 1 parts exclusively. I remember he had three options for cams. I chose the middle street-strip option. It gave maximum lift without replacing the valve springs.

Re: Difference between '92 and '95 SSEI
I think the name of the company was SeriesOne Performance. I went to look them up online, but don't see them anymore. It was quite awhile ago that I got it. (2006 or 2007 maybe?)
Their website was www.seriesoneperformance.com, but I don't see that it works anymore. Kinda disappointing because they had some good stuff.

Oh man, you actually got a custom part from them (him)? The store was short lived. Not because of quality, I don't think the guy actually had enough time. IIRC, a number of people got money refunded when he stopped delivering stuff.

Yes it works great. I kinda wish I would have ordered the stroker kit he had. Such is life though. So I noticed in your tag you have you engine bored .040 over. What are your thought on moving to a larger set of injectors? Can we even get those now? Afterwards, where can you get a chip to "bring it all together"?

In my case with the 94/95 SC and TB, it wouldn't hurt. Haven't found any though. Sinister Performance can tune us.

So what exactly does "bar" mean? Also, is it a simple connector change between S1 and S2 injectors? Just clip the old set off and splice the new set on?95naSTA wrote:@ 3 bar:

Bar is a standard pressure unit. Like psi. The S2 injectors will plug right in, it sounds like, without any modification.
