Ignition HELP!!!

Ignition HELP!!!
My 03 Bonneville had the valet key snapped off in the ignition by my ex. I paid $170 for a lock smith to come and remove the broken key, now my car won't start. I get power to the radio and everything, I checked the ignition fuse and it's not that. It's not the battery. The car just won't kick over there's no ticking noise or anything... Ideas???

Sounds like a security issue. Any lights flashing on the dash?

No no lights on at all.

If it is not a security issues then it may be the ignition switch itself. I would start testing to see if current is flowing when the switch is turned to the start position.

I think I need a new ignition switch, if I do this myself do I have to get my car reprogrammed for the new chips? I'm really not sure on what I have to do.

Okay apparently all I need is that black ring that goes around the ignition, I'd send a pic but idk how
