HUD Inoperable

Post by labonnevillastrangiato »

Hi all. Been a while, great to be back.1993 SSEi has inoperable HUD. According to operator manual the fuse is on the same circuit as the compass. Compass works fine, HUD does not light up at all. Is there another fuse I should look at or a connection that goes sour I should check?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Disconnect the neg bat cable and check every fuse you can find. Sometimes it's either mislabeled or flat out wrong and you just have to go through them all and replace any broken ones. I did this and solved all my problems after spending a week trying to go by the book and failing.

the vacuum flourescent display might have kicked the bucket too. that's all it is, projected through a mirror or something. mine is dim, enough that you cannot see it during the day, so it's probably on its way out, too. just our vehicles showing their age.
