Was pleased to find this site. Does anyone have suggestions on best place to sell an older car.
Custom order 1974. Have been told that this was a custom 400 cu in balanced engine, factory set for unlead gas, sports edition transmission.
About a couple of years ago, it passed Colorado Emission test as usual. Yes it has all the parts including the rear wheel skirts.
The AC was updated to non-freon years ago. The original AM radio was replaced with a Pioneer Super-Tuner and 2 rear speakers added.
The transmission started to slip about 15 years ago. The oldest transmission place in town had a factory original kit they had to buy as part of the repair center. The box was still marked at the old 1975 price. LOL The labor was more than the kit.
This car spent many years in Oklahoma. Then spent a decade in the California High Desert. Drove it a lot of miles in Colorado.
It was a Convertible 2 door model factory custom into a hardtop. The trunk doesn't need the convertible mechanism. So, the trunk is massive big.
For a 2 door - this is an extremely long car. Wide base, long width. I have raced from Mammoth Ski Resort to Ridgecrest, CA on cruse at 95 many times, it is very smooth.
Replaced the over sized radiator core. It has an over sized AC.
All original glass. The chrome bumpers have shock on them.
Have not really driven it (except for yearly emission test) for 10 years now. I don't have a garage to keep it up. My older mechanic who could keep it running died.
It is hard to find good maintenance places now, and I have other interest.
There is some rust under the fenders. Corrosion is evident.
Looking at all the options from e-bay to Auto-trader.
If anyone has advice, would appreciate hearing from you.
All too custom - this would be a close approximation - with out rear-tire skirts.
