In a previous post I mentioned that I got a Service Stability System warning on the DIC.
Discovered that the right front hub had a lot of slop.
Purchased a Timken Hub Assembly and with much trouble replaced it.
NOTE: You need to add heat and use an impact socket to remove the hub bolts. I had a 1200 degree heat gun which worked really well.
Got everything back together. Started up the car...Service Stability System warning is back on.
*dang*!
Went to Harbor Freight and bought a scanner that read ABS codes for $119 on sale. You can probably pick one up cheaper with a coupon. Make sure you get the gray faced one. There is another scanner that is red but doesn't read the codes.
Hooked up the scanner and got a c1233 code which according to the scanner is an open or short circuit in the right front wheel speed sensor.
From investigating it looks like its the wiring harness from the right wheel hub assembly to the ebcm or the abs module.
Does anyone have a picture of where this is or can give me any idea of how to test to make sure the wiring harness is bad?
Its another $50 and I'm tired of throwing $$ at the problem.
Got to get this thing finished.
Thanks in advance for your help.
