Picked up a toy this past weekend

Post by JMM8476 »

I've always wanted a 4th gen Camaro or Trans Am, finally picked one up! It's a 2001 Z28 M6 :bwoohoo:
Kept the Bonneville for trips and eventual family car. Anyways here's some pics!

Thank you for getting a manual one. I'm so unbelievably jealous. I'm more of a Trans Am guy but I love these things too.

Don't be scared to post more pics. XD (hint hint)

Absolutely mint Camaro Z28!! I am in love with the 4th gen f-bodies but prefer the Firebirds for their smoother body lines and sleeker look. The facelift for the 1998 model year helped the Camaro, though. Congrats!

Thanks everyone! I also like the Trans Am's a little more as far as looks, but around here they're a little harder to find. I'm loving it so far, it still doesn't feel like it's mine yet haha.

I'll definitely be taking as many more pictures and video of it as I can.

I like the 98+ Camaro, just because I've never liked hideaway headlights...

00Beast- Yeah, I like the hideaway headlights until they pop up haha

3800seriesII- It's so amazing  It's hard to stay out of the accelerator most of the time. The muffler delete doesn't help either haha

I like hideaway headlights only when they're down.

LSx cars sound great.. It's hard to mess up a V8's song anyways.

Did I mention that I am jealous?

I bet. In the near future, as time as money permit and I get my BS in computer science, I may swap a supercharger on the 3800 or go with the 3.6 LFX v6 (which may be difficult to fabricate but would be very cool and unique) and hope for as much power as the LS1. stock.

nos4blood- Agreed.
I'll post up a sound clip when I get the chance, it sounds amazing in person. You may have mentioned it somewhere :dontknow: haha.

3800seriesII-I like the idea of a supercharger on the 3800. And the 3.6 LFX v6 would definitely have the power

The LFX packs a serious punch, especially with a bolt on supercharger. Check this out, amazing:

A v6 car that puts 414-rwhp and 338 lb-ft of torque to the wheels, READ HERE. Absolutely amazing. Only the LFX v6 and an IPF supercharger!!! Wicked.

Off topic but I would just turbo your L36. Much easier and probably more durable.

Yay F-bodies!

I didn't see any tailpipes. I don't remember the exact layout of the mufflex but I seem to recall that it didn't have the standard dual tips, but you'd know if you had one. As would everyone in a 5 mile radius.
