So I'm wondering if anyone has done this?
I read in the manual that you have to remove the rear exhaust and one of the steering tie-rod ends. True?
My TOGs clear the bar for more than the stock exhaust.
Hopefully it won't require a sub frame drop.....
Swapping the hollow stock one for a solid GXP unit. 50% stiffer
I don't imagine the rear bar will be difficult at all.
Any advice at all is appreciated. I have elicited the help of one who will do the night shift....

Re: Front Sway Bar Replacement
No advice, I'm just hoping for some input on the same issue, as I just picked up a complete GXP suspension for my SSEi and will be putting it in this summer. I'm also curious to see how much those typically go for. It came out of a 2004 GXP with 70,000 miles.

Re: Front Sway Bar Replacement
We had to drop the sub frame when we did mine. Even then it did not just slip in. But we did not mess with the exhaust.

Re: Front Sway Bar Replacement
It should pop out one of the sides with the wheel off. If you need to lower the rear of the subframe, it's only an inch or two. IIRC though you can wiggle and slide it right out.

Re: Front Sway Bar Replacement
The book says you have to drop the rear exhaust and break one of the tie-rod ends then it should slide out.....hmmm
My exhaust is not stock so maybe I can get away without breaking anything as Bill says.
I'm doing this mod a few hundred miles from home in another country over a weekend so I would prefer not to have to disturb the subframe.
