Ok I am on my last leg with this 03 SSEi blower motor issue

I took the old one out took about 10 min super easy. Bought a used one from moradparts. It is the plastic one with the 3 holes that don't line up. So what did I try to do, modify it well that didn't work out well wasted about 3 hours and now back to square 1. Thankfully I have a company car so its not the end of the world. I want to get it fixed asap as I might be i need of getting the 03 back up and running. I have looked all over no one has the old school metal housing one. Everyone has the after market plastic one with the 3 holes. I found out that there is a bracket that is to be used with it that you can get from gm parts direct and also 3 screws and washers. I have not found a write up or anything any where. I can't be the only one with this problem can I?
