2002 SSEi with dual climate control. I've been doing my research here and my problem is that the heater controls show that the position for the defrost, vents and floor are changing, however the air always blows out of the vents and floor no matter what setting the controls are on. The position is not changing. Also, when the AC is on, the passenger side is blowing cold and the driver side is much less cold. The temp adjusts from 90 to 60 degrees
I've read a lot of possible reasons for these problems, but I wanted some input before I start pulling and replacing parts or recharging the AC prematurely.
Thanks in advance for any insight anyone may have!

Re: Dual Climate Stuck
Likely the mode actuator that controls where the air flow goes to is stuck or the motor burned out. Haro posted a picture of this recently http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 42034.html
The warmer air on the drivers side is commonly caused by low refrigerant in the AC or a bad actuator for the driver's air mix. If you can crawl under the dash and look at the actuators while having a helper change the mode on the ECC to test the mode actuator, and then raising the drivers side temp to the max and lowering it to the minimum temp test the driver's air mix actuator, you can see if the actuators are working. Taking them out is the fun part

Re: Dual Climate Stuck
When it stops pouring here where I live I'll check it out.
How will I know if it's stuck vs. if it's broke?
I want to fix this problem first before I move on to the AC

Re: Dual Climate Stuck
You may have to remove it to tell if the door is stuck or the actuator motor is bad, usually it is a bad motor in the actuator. You can get a good used one from harofreak00.
