Removing Plastic Sunshade?

Post by billc »

Can anyone offer me some info on removing the plastic sliding sunshade panel on my 2001 so I can re-affix the fabric that is peeling off? Any suggestions on what adhesive to use for such a job would be great, I was thinking fabric friendly spray adhesive? The thin film under the fabric is pretty much dried/yellowed so may just remove the fabric and leave it black. This isn't a car I enjoy owning anymore with all the issues I have had with it since month two of owning it so not concerned with prim proper prettiness really just trying to appease the wife for a few more months and by some time on purchasing a new vehicle so will be cleaning up a few small problems with it and try to make it somewhat presentable to sell ;) Thanks so much

You have to remove the glass first. Loosen the 4 torx screws and then lift the glass straight out. Slide the shade forward and release the 4 clips on the top and remove.
