Does anyone know what shocks (front and rear) will give me either the same performance as what I have now, or will give me an upgrade in terms of performance? 2002 SSEi
I've read the posts on quick-struts and am wanting to stay away from those!
Leaning towards KYB, but not sure which part number to look for. Other option is going with stock replacements. GXP shocks possibly? Or would I have to switch to GXP springs as well?

Re: SSEi Shock Question
FE5(GXP) suspension is a good performance upgrade, but hard to find.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out. I'm changing it in April, so doing my homework now. Just got my car in November so right now it all about flushing all fluids, changing sensors, plugs, filters, etc.nos4blood70 wrote:FE5(GXP) suspension is a good performance upgrade, but hard to find.

Re: SSEi Shock Question
Pretty sure GXP shocks and struts have been discontinued, and are totally out of stock...
Monroe Max-Air was the OEM shock, and most prefer them, but others have had other experiences...

Monroe max-air for the rears, I had Monroe sens-a-trac on the front but they weren't great.

Re: SSEi Shock Question
http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2003/p ... orber.html I bought the KYB's for the rear on my car about 6 months ago and am very pleased so far. Also got new KYB mounts. Haven't done anything up front...yet.
