Brake Socket

Post by Datbonneville1 »

Does anyone have a high mount brake light socket for a 94 se that theyre willing to let go? Ive had two bad ones, the bulb will work sometimes and then other times will not work. or it will work and then go out before i let off the brakes. All my other brake lights work fine all the time. Let me know if any of you have one please, thanks!

I had this problem once. I cleaned up the contacts inside the socket, and it still did it. The bulb was good but the bottom section (the solder) was worn. A new bulb might do the trick. It did for me.

Those sockets are flimsy, when i cleaned mine I bent the bands inwards, I think that helped make a better connection.

Check rock auto. They usually have the pigtails, you can get the PN off of them, then shop around for the best price.
