air bag light on

Anyone out there on knowledge for the bonneville air bag light? My wife was driving her 2005 Bonneville se on the interstate saturday afternoon and accidently hit a clump of hard ice that appears to have cracked the lower portion of the front bumper assembly. She said the impact was minimal however the air bag light came on and she figured after she arrived at her destination and shut the vehicle off that the air bag light would perhaps reset itself and stay off but alas the light still remains on. Is there anything I can check or do before going in to the dealership for service? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

can you scan the car? You might of messed up the sensor on the bumper.
