LeBra covers...good, bad, or just ugly?

LeBra covers...good, bad, or just ugly?

Post by 731Loadmaster »

I have had several bras on my cars for the past decade...even my bike has one. All due to the wonderful flying bugs and *shoot* roads throwing stones.

I am wondering what everyone thinks of having a Bra on their cars. Causes damage, looks like CaCa, or is there a 3M clear cover around.

Trying to keep the 14 yr old paint job the best I can.

Thanks guys!!!!

When I do put a bra on, it's a clear-bra. - BC

I absolutely HATE bras on cars. Those things are just unappealing and take a whole lot away from ANY car, IMO. But I do understand the purpose of one. I would just recommend using the clear one. At least it won't be 100% obvious the car has a bra on.

But I mean it is your car. Just My Opinion.

Also junk gets behind it and can chew up paint if not attended to

You could always use plastidip. :poke: I've heard it works pretty good for protecting paint.

I think bras are ugly. If you really need to protect your pain a clear bra is the way to go. If done right its barely noticeable, looks a lot better than rock chips. Would definetly get a clear bra if i had a newer car

I had a LeBra on my 97 after I got a new hood and bumper, regretted the *shoot* that I had installed it to begin with. Junk got inside and etched the clearcoat off. Had to buff my new hood since it also managed to etch its own logo into the clearcoat.

Go with the 3M clearbra or dont do it at all.

I hear ya...I was thinking to go clear on all edges and the bra over the top...the previous owner scraped the side of the nose real bad...want to cover it up or paint it...cheaper going with a bra.

Sounds like a good reason to paint flames.

+1 for plasti dip. I have it on the front of my car in some areas, and it's worked perfectly for what I use it for (blacked out all the chrome trim). There are no chips from rocks or debris, and is easy to peel off if you ever want to remove it. And it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a bra.
