popping over bumps. 09 escape

Post by brownbrentm »

Getting a pooping noise over bumps. Looked into it a little bit possible stabilizer linkage? Going to check them tomorrow make sure everything is tight. Any other thoughts? It's not over all bumps but mainly when the right side hits it then the left so the front end is lopsided for a second. Like when you turn into a drive way and the left or right side hits the incline first.

Can you isolate it front or rear? 09 should have 2 dual wishbone setups, correct? If so, it could be any of 8 ball joints, tie-rod ends, stabilizer links, etc. Check all the bushings and joints. I'd suspect stabilizers though.

Sorry, I lost it after reading that. Makes for a hilarious mental image.

But, anyways, yes, what Ed said - could be any number of things, but likely the stabilizer bar links.

I didn't even notice that LOL! Yes I think I should just put a beano additive to the gas tank hopefully that will clear up any unwanted flatulence. Problem solved;

Well the sway/stabilizer bars have a lot of play in them. Going to pick up parts this weekend.

Replaced and problem solved! Saw that I need to do brakes and rotors soon though. Oh the fun never ends!
