need knock retard help

I've got a 96 park ave ultra and just got the torque app for my phone and the blue tooth conecter. After watching for knock retard most of it I get is heavy part throttle in second gear. I've seen ot hit 4 most of the time with 5.8 and 6.5 a couple times. Now if I roll to wot it goes to 0. Is this normal? Only thing that has been done to the car is a 180tstat and a gutted air box with a performance air filter.
