Northstar dress kit

hey, just picked up my 05 GXP and im wondering if there are any dress up engine kits or covers for these engines. the factory engine cover IMHO completely takes away from the viewing experience of such a pretty engine bay.

however, the coil on plugs and valve covers were obviously never intended to be viewed. im wondering if there isnt something out there like the corvettes have or maybe some of you have made some custom stuff? any suggestions?

None that I know of. I prefer to run them with out the injector sight shields (covers), anyway, to aid in getting hot air out of the engine compartment rather than trapping it in.

Other than custom stuff and maybe modifying stuff made for other GM vehicles like power steering pump chrome covers, caps, etc...

my Northstar has a nice cover on the back bank but not the front. i want two of them :p

It's a little rubbery piece to cover and protect the coil modules, right? I'd hardly call it a "dress up" piece. Both my LD8 and now my LC3 had them. I removed them. For the LD8, I gave them to the new owner of the car. My LC3 ones are very different.

That's about as good as it gets for me on this car.
I had to repaint the front bumper cover, so this was in the paint shop at the same time.
I had a custom decal made to fit, & had all four grills repainted an argent gray at the same time also.

Can you really dress up a Bonneville, or the Northstar?!?
FYI, it now has 185k miles on it & a fresh new set of tires to take it another 40k+ hopefully.
It's amazing how a new fresh set of tires will change the ride so much nicer, ...
I got 55k miles out of my last set of 40k-Cooper tires.

i like the way the motor looks without the cover. i just wish the valve covers werent so goofy looking.

Cam covers...

Coils don't bother me. I prefer all the covers off, so as to keep heat from being trapped. Some coil modules like those used on the I6's in Trailblazers actually have a heat sink on it. So keeping heat from being trapped can be beneficial. This really isn't applicable to N* coils, just sayin'.

I gave them to the guy who bought my car. The LC3 ones off my "V" aren't the same.
