Trip to Illinois

As some of you might know, this past weekend (July 12-15, 2013) I took the G8 to Normal, IL, to visit Will (SSEiMan01) and hang out for a few days.

Saturday, I got to meet some W-Body guys and Carl (nos4blood70) and Ryan (99BonnevilleSE), and drive the GXP (what a beast). Sunday, Will and I had some fun with our cars, took some pictures, and unfortunately watch as the Trans-Am had to be towed back to the apartment complex. Then on Monday I took Will to Wisconsin to pick up the red SSEi that he has posted in another thread. In all of that, we had fun times, great food, dirty-minded jokes, and I even got to experience Chicago traffic (after lunch and at rush hour - all I can say is )

Overall, it was a great trip, and a nice way to get away from things, but my only complaint was that it was too short. I would love to go back, but spend more time.

Again, I want to thank Will for putting up with me and my friend for a few days, and letting us stay. It was fun, and I can't wait to do it again!!

Sorry I couldn't make it out. Wheaton where they had the meet is right next to West Chicago where I have my other house and usually am at on Saturday, but alas, I had to physically come in to work, so...

That would have been very cool, but unfortunately I have to save what is left of my tires until next year. At that point, there may be a picture of smoked tires. . .

So, out of curiosity, I wondered where Cambridge, OH was, so I looked it up on Google maps, I went through there a summer or two ago, on our way to a wedding in Marietta. So we took 70 over to 77.

I can't wait either, Will. Tim and I both enjoyed the stay. I was so happy to be somewhere else other than work! By the way, if you want any of those pics in higher resolutions, let me know, unless you're fine with those.

And yes, Lane, Cambridge is right on 70 and 77. You'd think we'd have more development than we do since the city is at the intersection of two major interstates, but there's not been many new developments since Wal-Mart went in in 2001.

Lmfao. Booze. By the way Greg, a new ignition module fixed the T/A today. Now to get it sold before I drive it around the parking lot some more and fool myself into thinking I should keep it. Runs great now but you know how that car goes.

Well, Will, good to know you got it running. But, I'm with you, no point in keeping it when you know that something could easily go wrong again at 4am.
