LIght Gremlins

Post by DrOlds88 »

I'm hoping someone here can guide me to a solution for my 93 Bonneville. When I press the brake pedal the fog lamps and dash lamps come on with the brake lamps even if the headlights are off. This happens regardless of the car running or not. The automatic lamps still work and if I turn the fog light switch off then they will not come on when I brake (but the dash does).

Any ideas?

Solution...I had two similar bulbs that I switches (DOH!) causing a short in the system. The tail lamps, dash lamps, and fog lamps are all on the same circuit which explains the trouble. By replacing the bulb with the correct bulb (2057) the issue went away!
