I'm not entirely sure of what you are asking. You remove it with a wrench, like any other. If your question is really how do you get the caliper off because you don't see a place to put the wrench, this procedure from Techinfo should help you.

sorry it took so long to get back. so here is what i am dealing with. I started to replace the rear brakes yesterday and I have other issues that I had found. On the right rear. I noticed that the brake pads were completely gone, down to the metal. I replaced pads and rotor. As I was trying to compress the piston by turning it with the cube shaped piston tool, I noticed it was very difficult, Almost impossible, but I got it. Now to the left side, as I was braking the caliper pin lose, the pin snapped, breaking it inside the mounting bracket, From what I see, you should be able to slide the caliper off of the upper caliper pin. I can pivot the caliper up and down, but is not sliding off of the pin. I bought a new mounting bracket, but can't get the caliper off. So I have decided, after walking away from it for a day, that I am going to replace both rear calipers, mounting brackets and hardware. Any idea what could cause the pads to wear like that? I should also mention that the left side pads were fine and the left side piston turned with ease.

Corrosion in the caliper mechanism and slides. Happens with age and is accelerated by salt and moisture.

I had one of the top slides on mine that was a bit rusty. I sprayed it with PB Blaster and took a hammer to it. Not sure if this helped, but I was able to wiggle it out and walk it off the slide (which was a bit rusty and I cleaned it up). I did have the bolt come slightly loose while wiggling it, but it was still screwed plenty far in for me to get it apart.

I'm going to try to make it a regular thing to grease all the caliper and pad slides.

yeah, it totally suck because all of the parts stores closed and i had to drive to New Hampshire at % the next morning. Thank God my buddy was in Florida and has let me use his vehicle to get here and back. My next question is... how do I remove the emergency brake cable from the caliper?

Should just pry off. The fun part is getting it on the new one. Takes a lot of swearing...
