Replacing Air bag on wheel -- What bolt heads?

Post by golfyeti »

I am assuming that to remove the driver air bag unit (this one already deployed) there are bolts tucked into the holes in the back half of the steering wheel. I can't see what kind they are, even with a mirror.

Can anyone confirm what type of screwdriver I need? Since I couldn't find one with a few search attempts, a link to a good step by step post would also be good if anyone knows one. Thanks

There aren't any bolts, they are spring clips that you have to release with a bent flathead screwdriver. Haro has a good picture of his tool for it.
