Well, with no money left to figure out this misfire issue, and moving for law school in 2 weeks to a place that has emissions testing, I think I have to get out of the Bonneville racket. It's been a great family car for 4, but I have neither time nor money to address this misfire issue which will probably be easy for someone else to figure out who has brains, tools, and time.
So what would you guess are my money prospects for an otherwise fine bonneville with just over 150k, a 1 year old transmission, and a misfire under load (and leaking AC compressor)? Do I have to unload it for like a thousand?

Re: Sell my Bonnie?
I'd say you could probably get $3k for it...

That's good to know. I'll detail it really well and start closer to 3k then. I'm quite sorry to have to leave it. :(

Not a mechanic here and off topic, but isn't a mis-fire under load typically a spark plug (maybe even a plug wire)? - BC

I was thinking the same thing. My 95 was misfiring for a while and it was right after I changed my plugs and wires. I thought I had attached the wires wrong but after further inspection I found one of the wires got caught on the fan was cut. Replaced it and my misfire issue was resolved.
