In my '98, the the front speakers on my Bose system have gone dead. First the left, then the right a couple of days later. At first, I thought I just had a bad speaker/lead problem with one side down, but then the other side went.
Electrical diagrams are not my forte, any hints as to what I might be after here?
For kicks I swapped in my regular OEM unit (from the '95). Much the same, except the rear speakers sounded like junk. I'm assuming the Bose magic 'dynamic equalization" was responsible.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Front speakers in Bose system
Has anybody worked with a Bose System? Is there an amp separate from the head unit?

Yes. The Bose systems had a separate amp. It sounds like you simply blew your speakers. See if you can find or locate some to swap in to test.

Thanks. That explains some things. Actually the front right speakers come on occasionally. When I trace the wires, I'll be looking for that 2nd amp first, see if there any shorts or wires off.nos4blood70 wrote:Yes. The Bose systems had a separate amp.
