Headlight Clear Coat

Discuss washing, waxing and detailing information as well as interior/exterior cosmetic modifications. This includes neons, body, cosmetic wheels, etc. Even under the hood detailing.

Oh and sad part is they came off an 04 gxp. Saw the car myself, my guess is that it was in an accident and the headlights were replaced with those ones.

$80 isn't a bad deal at all then, I wouldn't be too upset.

Clean up all four of them and hit them with the spar method and sell a pair for $150 or so.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner. Headlights have a UV protection barrier applied to the plastic lens. Over time, it is degraded, often by road rash. Those lenses actually look quite a bit like mine. I polished them last summer, and started removing the UV coating near the top edges.

you should wet sand them to get the rest off and put a few coats of clear on them if u can use regular clear coat the same stuff you would use on car paint if you do that they will stay like that for years
