air ride works, kind of?

Post by ws6nightcat »

So my rear shocks and mounts were beat, big surprise, changed everything out with no problem. But the new shocks will not fill up with air. The compressor runs at 30 seconds after startup. The air switch fills tires fine. I replaced the air ride height sensor just because i had an extra one. But the system will not fill the shocks or activate when i or several people sit in the trunk.

unhook the level sensor for the rear suspension and move it by hand to see if the system will come on.

or you can get a set of conversion shocks from strutmasters and completely eliminate the air system all together. I have a 2002 with 188,000 miles and these work fantastic!

Ive done alot of the air ride conversions and havent had any problems, but everything is in good shape so id rather keep it in this case. Its been 20* out every day so i havent had a chance to check anything else. Hopefully this upcoming week will be warmer.
