After 13 mostly (but not always) faithful service, it's time to sell my car. It's going to be hard to go from a supercharged motor to a Camry Hybrid but I suppose I'll learn to live with it. At any rate, as luck would have it, I've started to get hard shifts when the transmission is hot. I'm obviously not inclined to spend the money to replace the PCS just before I sell it so the Transgo shift kit would seem to be the way to go.
I'm reasonably mechanically inclined but my experience with a transmission is limited to changing the fluid and filter. Is the install something that's straightforward and well explained in the instructions? Also, I figured that I'd do a complete fluid change but I'm not sure what the total capacity of the system is so any information would be appreciated.
Trans Go ?

It's another 8 bolts from a fluid and filter change, it's fairly straightforward.
What made you choose a Camry Hybrid?

It's not bad to do at all. I notice you're a local! We have another member who lives in Morris as well. I'm in Orland and Bloomington-Normal.
There's an install thread on here for a TransGo. I'll find it and post it here for you.

We drive a lot of miles in the general Chicago area going mostly to our son's house in Elmhurst. The Camry fit what we were looking for during the 8 months a year we're in this area and as much as I liked(loved) the Bonneville, it got to the point where I was tired of doing the maintenance on it and just wanted something efficient and where I didn't have to do much maintenance for some time.00Beast wrote:It's another 8 bolts from a fluid and filter change, it's fairly straightforward.

I picked it up this afternoon and put "Dark Side of The Moon" on as soon as I got out of the dealer's lot and was totally impressed with the sound system compared to my Bonneville. My ears are still ringing but I loved every track of it.
I got just over 40mpg coming home from the dealer and that's with a 0-60 very close to the Bonneville's.
I'm curious to know who lives in Morris and is a member.
