Unplug rear speakers

Post by JoeK »

My GPI subwoofer is actually firing so hard it causes the rear speakers to bottom out during bass notes... and they pop. loud.

Anywho, i tried unplugging the rear speakers and i couldnt get them, whats the trick to the plug?

Trick is: designed to be a quick-connect at Factory assembly line, and not removable without special tool (surprise). Advice: turn down your sound system output volume, before you damage your eardrums (if not already too late) and make yourself lose your hearing! (You will want to have it later in life, to listen to the wife's complaints:)

When I went to replace my rear speakers, I just used a flat head screwdriver to push down on the release, and pull them apart. Of course, if you're not careful, the screwdriver might slip and you can cut your hand wide open (I should have known better #-o ).

A little flat head is all you need to remove the clip. If you need me to I can take pictures showing you how.
