Rpm gauge frozen at 1 rpm..

Im sure the fact of where its stuck at rpms isnt an issue. But that fact that it IS stuck is. Not that its a problem to my car just more of a thing i would like to fix. What can my problem be?

Is it frozen there even if you turn the ignition off or is it only with the key in and on?

Thanks for the response carl. It is frozen even when the car is off.. Just sits at 1k. Hope this helps!

What happens if you unplug the battery? It sounds like the little motor in there has died. These gauge clusters are having more and more issues as time goes on it seems.

Yes my fathers monte carlo has the same problem but with his speedometer. My gauge has fallen below zero now.. to the point where it would normally sit when the car is off. Never moves. How much do these motors cost? and where can i find one?
