I want to mod my car...

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

First things first. Did you do all the maintenance on your car?

Also, you can't really make much power with your SLE. What I would do if I were you is either swap an L67 into your Bonneville or top swap.

Read this
http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/fo ... 25655.html

And then do some looking around in the TECHINFO section that's on the header of all the pages.

You can make ok power NA. PCM tune, rockers, FWI, down pipe and a hi flow cat would be a nice budget friendly mod list.

But yes make sure all your general maintenance items are addressed and car is running great in stock condition.

I agree with the basics if your maintenance is all up to snuff. I would start with Intake (Intese seems to be the popular one) and a Downpipe 2.5" (I like ZZPerformance). from there you have a few directions, like mentioned above PCM would be good as well as rockers. what are you wanting to make power wise, thoes few things will give you better power, as well aschanging your diff to a more aggressive one. from there you will be looking at major work like a blower top swap or a turbo setup (i would do a turbo way before a top swap). Hope this will be of some help.

Now you can also make your own parts if you have the ability to, i built an intake for my SSEi as well as did a "Puck Mount" (very good investment and cheap)

These are probably your top 3 vendors for 3800 cars:
http://www.zzperformance.com (i get most my parts from ZZP)
http://www.intense-racing.com (very good with bonnie's ask anyone here)
http://www.3800performance.com (been around from a long time)

Intake (Alluminum w/ K&N, Home made):

Downpipe (ZZP):

Puck Mount (more responcive):

I've changed oil, spark plugs and wires, coolant, and my starter. Other than that I haven't done much more maintenance. I just want to get from 0-60 a bit faster, thats it lol

everything listed above should help but you will see the biggest increase in mid-high rpms. I would start here and see how you like it. Keep in mind, these mods will make it feel better but not going to make it some crazy powerhouse (or everyone would do it) From here you would be looking at a gears, cam and headers or boost for a more drastic improvment.
