performance upgrades

Talk about modifications, or anything else associated with performance enhancements. Have a new idea for performance/reliability? Post it here. No idea is stupid! (please use Detailing and Appearance for cosmetic ideas)

performance upgrades

Post by forcefedbucket96 »

Trying to beef up my 96 ssei. Looking to get a smaller pully for the supercharger. Any other good ideas and websites I can look at to find that kind of stuff?

How many miles on the car? Id suggest starting a trans fund.

And the search function works really well on here.

First thing is maintenance. When you have that down, you can buy a Fenderwell Intake from Intense Racing. That's a really good first mod. Then you can do some exhaust work. Basically, just read through the thread that Harofreak00 posted in his second post.

105k miles and she's got a brand new trans (Lucky me). Are those fenderwell intakes pricey? I'm 22 and do landscaping for a living, so custom fabrication might be a better idea for me at the time. Unless that's a dumb idea for the intake.

Look at the links harofreak00 posted, especially Intense Racing. Their intake retails at $189 or so, and is the only one designed for our cars specifically.

Do ALL the maintenance first, then mod.

Yeah you can custom fab you a FWI, some members have used some aluminum bends and silicone couplers to fab one up. Just have to do some measuring and fab a hole for the IAT or get the Intense TB coupler that has this built in and fab a place for the evap canister. :beerchug:

here is the one i did for my 00 SSEI. give you an idea of where to go if you want to make one. alot of guys run the intense kit. this is alluminum piping and couplers from siliconeintakes.com. you may want to use a Hump hose or 2 if you have engine movement to give it a little play in the piping. the AITS is pushed into a pcv grommet i got at the parts store iirc help! 42361.. but dont quote me, im getting old..
