Played around with the GP today

The black stuff on my front bumper is weather stripping... GP's have a 1/8 gap between the hood and bumper, this helps keep bugs and dirt out and works like a charm.

And don't give me too much poo about the Spectre filter, its gone as soon as I can fab a CAI.

I recently went to a black arrowhead, changes the look of the whole car, carbon fiber looks great! I like your blue accents, too!

The arrowhead? 3m 1080 film. Did mine last month. Looks sooo much better than the faded pink thing mos of us have.

I got some cheap vinal cf from Autozone for $19.99 6 inch x 6 ft. roll. I cut out a strip about a 1/2 inch larger than the arrowhead dimensions, peeled off
the backing and laid it over the arrowhead. I then used my thumbnail to press really hard to get the outline of the chrome to show through. I peeled the cf off and flipped it over and had perfect lines to use as a guide. I used hair cutting shears to get the arrowhead shape and then laid it back on... used a x-acto knife to cut out the star piece. Done... took 5 minutes at most

edit, I would do it again and take pics but, I would kick myself if it didn't come out just as good as the first one.

I did my arrowhead in black Plastidip today

Image
Image

5 coats of black and 3 coats of glossifier. It looks a little bumpy over the part that was red because I previously painted it black with touch up paint and it wasn't smooth at all. I might try to get the paint off underneath and then redo the Plastidip.

Guess I gotta change it up again, now its old hat. I knew the 1080 film would make the cf look too easy.
